Mary-Jane Holmes
Mary-Jane Holmes’ poems have appeared in publications and anthologies that include The Lonely Crowd, Prole, The Journal of Compressed Creative Arts, The Tishman Review and Best Small Fictions 2016 (ed. Stuart Dybek). In 2017 she won the Bridport Prize, the Martin Starkie Prize, the International Bedford Poetry competition and was nominated for a Forward Prize. She was winner of the Dromineer Prize for Fiction in 2014, has been shortlisted for the Bridport twice for both fiction and poetry, as well as longlisted for The Kathy Fish Fellowship. She gained a distinction in her Masters in Creative Writing at Kellogg College, Oxford, and is consulting editor at The Well Review, a poetry journal based in Cork. She is also Chief Editor of Fish Publishing, Ireland. She lives in the North Pennines in the UK. Heliotrope with Matches and Magnifying Glass is her debut collection. |
